Popovers are muffin-like egg and butter bread made from a thin, liquid batter, which rises to form a hollow shell when baked. This variation of the recipe calls for hot oven and the preheated pan!

  • Portion 1 popover
1 cup Whole Milk
1 cup All Purpose Flour
3 tbs Unsalted Butter
1/4 tsp Salt
3 Eggs
  1. Pre heat a 6-cup muffin pan to 375F (190C), grease with 2 tablespoon of melted butter
  2. Whisk Eggs, Milk and the remaining Butter until foamy
  3. Beat in the Flour and Salt until smooth, do not overmix
  4. Fill each cup 2/3 full, place on the middle rack of the oven
  5. Bake 35-40" untill golden brown and hollow to the touch
  6. Do not open the oven during the initial 30"
  7. Remove from the oven and pierce with a knife to release the steam
