  • Portion 1
Salt pinch
1 tbs Almond Extract
1/5 tbs Baking Powder
300 g Dark Chocolate Chips
90 Dark Chocolate (Or Chips)
3 Eggs (Small)
215 ml Sugar
150 ml Flour
1/3 cu Coconut Peanut Butter Spread
200 g Butter
  1. Preheat oven to 180 degree C (355 F). Grease and flour round 24 cm baking dish (9 1/2 inches), 3.5 cm high (around 1 1/2 inch)
  2. Melt butter and half the chocolate chips and the dark chocolate. Let mixture cool a bit
  3. In a separate bowl, stir eggs, almond extract and sugar. Add the warm chocolate mixture and let cool
  4. Mix 125 ml of the flour, the baking powder and salt together and add to the cooled chocolate mixture.
  5. Toss the remaining chocolate chips (or nuts) with the remaining flour and add them to the mixture
  6. Pour batter into baking tray. Add peanut butter onto the mixture and swirl it around with a knife
  7. Cook for approximately 40min
  8. Notes
    1. Check for doneness with skewer or toothpick; while they shouldn’t be overcooked, they will be ready when your toothpick comes out clean.
    2. Half of the weight of the dark chocolate chips can be replaced by nuts if preffered
    3. We used coconut-peanut butter spread, but regular creamy peanut butter can be used instead
